Sierra Horseback Rides - Right out Tenaya's Front Door!
Just a mile from Tenaya Lodge, enjoy the surrounding Sierra National Forest on horseback. Yosemite horseback riding excursions are available daily through the summer and fall weather permitting. Weight and age limits apply.
Big Creek 1 Hour Trail Ride - $40/person
Departure Times: 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:15am, 2:00pm, 3:30pm, 5:00pm
This is our most popular ride. Departing from the Pack Station you will be guided through tall pines and meander along the banks of Big Creek which is one of the most pristine rivers in the area. Offered May through November, weather permitting.

Vista Pass 2 Hour Trail Ride - $80/person

If you’re looking for more time in the saddle and you’re ready to “Cowboy Up”, come and experience the grandeur of Vista Pass. Offered May through November, weather permitting.

Giant Sequoia 1/2 Day Trail Ride - $140/person
Departure Time: 12:00pm
This is an exclusive trail ride into Yosemite's Mariposa Grove. What better way to get a glimpse into Yosemite's past than to visit these 2,000 year old redwood trees the way John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt did, from the back of a good horse. Offered Wednesday and Saturday, late June through September, weather permitting. A minimum of 4 riders are required for this ride.

Lead Horse - 15 minutes $20 each
For families with children younger than 7 years of age. This is a led horseback ride around a small corral by a Yosemite Trails Wrangler allowing parents the freedom to take pictures. This is a great first-time horse experience. Lead horse is subject to availability of horse & wrangler and offered on a first come first serve basis.

Yosemite Horseback Rides
Experience the breath-taking views and majestic scenery of Yosemite National Park by mule or horseback. When you are ready to saddle up, there are plenty of options. We have three stables within the park boundaries, each offering unique scenery and a memorable experience. Visit one, or all three, to see more of the park. Two-hour, four-hour and all day rides are available. Saddle up.
Tuolumne Stable – Yosemite’s high country
Yosemite Valley Stable – the only stables leading guided trips in the heart of Yosemite National Park.
Wawona Stable – historic charm and easy trails. Please arrive at the stable at least one hour prior to your ride.
Children must be at least 7 years old and 44" tall.
Maximum weight is 225 lbs.
Pricing: 2-hour ride $60, half-day ride $80, full-day ride $119
