This spectacular Yosemite tour's four-hour round journey takes you from the valley to the breathtaking Glacier Point, towering 3,200 feet directly above the valley floor, and offers panoramic views of Yosemite Falls, Nevada and Vernal Falls, with the magnificent High Sierra in the distance. The Glacier Point Tour departs daily from Yosemite Lodge, and also offers a one-way ticket for adventurers wishing to hike down on their own. This tour operates from late Spring to early Fall, conditions permitting. Trail maps are sold at the Curry Village Mountain Shop, the Village Sport Shop and the Glacier Point store.

Zephyr Whitewater Rafting
Whitewater thrill seekers can make a day of running rapids on the Merced River. Wawona Meadow Loop Hike
This trail circles the beautiful Wawona Meadow, and is most impressive in the spring when wildflowers are blooming, or in the fall when the leaves on the trees change color. This trail is also great for birding, including spotting a Great Grey Owl. There are two loops, one 3.5 mile, and one 5 mile, both of which are considered easy with very little elevation gain. Nelder Grove Shadow of the Giants Trail
This is the best chance you'll get to have a grove of giant sequoias all to yourself, especially on a weekday. The grove resides in a narrow draw with a brook flowing through the center of it, and besides the giant sequoias, you'll find lots of other big evergreens, especially cedars, plus several dogwoods. Mirror Lake Trail
An easy 2.4 mile round-trip trail (moderate in Winter) leads to Mirror Lake, which sits at the base of Half Dome. Due to a rock slide in 2009 the southern part of the trail is currently closed, but you can still hike to the Lake. Half Dome Trail
Often referred to as the ultimate Yosemite day hike, the trail to the summit of Half Dome is one of the most popular trails in the park. The difficulty is strenuous (14.2 miles round-trip with 4,800 feet of elevation gain) and should only be attempted if you are in good physical condition, but the view from the top is unparalleled. Permits are required to hike the trail and can be obtained by calling 877-444-6777 (International callers dial 518-885-3639). Glacier Point
Glacier Point is an overlook with a commanding view of Yosemite Valley. At an elevation of 7,214 feet, the point offers a superb view of Yosemite National Park's Yosemite Valley, including Yosemite Falls, Half Dome, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and Clouds Rest. Yosemite Valley Rafting

Rafting on the Wild and Scenic Merced River can be one of the most refreshing ways to see Yosemite Valley's spectacular scenery. It's an easy half-day adventure for young and old alike. The length of the rafting season changes from year to year and depends on river depth, water temperature and climate.
Rafts can be rented at the Curry Village® Recreation Center. Rafts hold four adults and are equipped with paddles and the mandatory personal flotation devices.
Guide-yourself rafting on the Merced River can be one of the most refreshing ways to see Yosemite Valley's spectacular scenery (caution is required, particularly during snowmelt periods). You can rent "paddle-yourself" rafts at the Curry Village Recreation Center that hold four to six adults. They come with paddles and the mandatory personal flotation devices. Directions: Hwy 41 North to Yosemite Valley, follow signs to Curry Village - 1 hour and 15 minute drive time each way.

- The per person fee covers one three-mile trip down the river, personal floatation devices for each person, two paddles and return trip by shuttle to the Curry Village Recreation Center.
- Children must weigh at least 50 lbs.
- In order to protect riparian (riverbank) resources, we encourage our rafters to disembark on sand or gravel bars. Swimmers should enter and exit the river on sandy beaches.

One of the best ways to see Yosemite's many magnificent sights is on a bicycle – there are more than 12 miles of surfaced bike paths on the valley floor. Yosemite's Wawona Golf Course was the first regulation course in the Sierra Nevada when it opened in 1918, and has provided golfers challenging but rewarding rounds ever since. Designed by Walter G. Favarque to blend seamlessly into its spectacular surroundings, this nine-hole, par-35 national park golf course measures 3,050 yards and includes two par-five holes and three par-three holes. Giant Sequoia Half-Day Ride
This is an exclusive Yosemite National Park horseback riding experience through the legendary Mariposa Grove. What better way to get a glimpse into Yosemite's past than to visit these 2,000-year-old redwood trees the way John Muir and Teddy Roosevelt did, from the back of a good horse. . .
The Mariposa Grove is the largest grove of giant sequoia trees in Yosemite, and is located at the south end of the park near the Wawona area. There are two loop trails to hike: the lower grove (2.2 miles round-trip) and the combined lower and upper groves (6 miles round-trip). Highlights include the Fallen Monarch, the California Tunnel Tree, and the infamous Grizzly Giant; a 2,700 year old sequoia tree which is also the largest tree in the park.
