Each season the weather in Yosemite offers visitors a stunning display of nature's brilliance. This section will help you prepare for your getaway with tips about the appropriate gear for each of Yosemite's distinctive seasons. Please be aware that the National Park Service regulations REQUIRE all visitors to carry chains in their vehicle from mid-October through mid-May.

Spring Gear

Similar to the winter months, visitors will find that in the spring, Yosemite National Park weather will vary from sunny and pleasant to chilly and cold. The best plan is to prepare for both.

Fall Gear
