Yosemite Day-Use Reservations

Yosemite National Park is open. A temporary reservation will be required to enter beginning May 20.

The news is out; Yosemite National Park is implementing a temporary peak-hours reservation system for vehicles to enter the Park between 6 AM and 4 PM from May 20 to September 30, 2022. We recommend booking your reservation via the recreation.gov website before arriving at Tenaya.

Lucky us, you've chosen to stay at the perfect home base for exploration and adventure for the Sierra Nevada's here with us at Tenaya. There are several ways to visit Yosemite during your stay with us, and we've curated a list to help you navigate:

  • You ride, we drive with Yosemite 360 Tours. We've created the ultimate way to see and experience Yosemite on our all-new Yosemite 360 Tours at Tenaya. Let our expert local guides show and tell you all about the magic of Yosemite.
  • Mosey on into Mariposa Grove on Horseback with Yosemite Trails Horseback Adventures.
  • Sign up for an Outdoor Adventure or art class with Yosemite Conservancy.
  • Hop on YARTS, the Yosemite Area Transportation System, which includes the cost to enter Yosemite. With the free national park shuttle system operating in Yosemite Valley, YARTS is a great way to visit the Park.
  • Sign up for a photography class with the Ansel Adams Gallery.

We expect peak date reservations will fill up. However, regardless of whether you get a peak-hours reservation, you'll still be able to access the Park any day, given you arrive before 6 AM or after 4 PM. Tenaya sits just two miles outside the Yosemite entrance, allowing you plenty of time to head into the Park to catch a spectacular sunrise or memorable sunset.
