Historic Coarsegold is just south of Oakhurst off Highway 41. Named for the coarse nuggets of gold discovered nearby in 1849, Coarsegold was the site of one of the southernmost strikes of the 1849 Gold Rush. Learn more at the Coarsegold Historic Museum.
